The Mission:
The Queer Liberation Working Group (QLWG) was created in 2023 to respond to the surge in anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, rhetoric, and violence across Oklahoma. The mission of QLWG is to foster community and provide resources for queer people in the OKC metro.
What We Do
The work of QLWG has included a broad range of projects such as lobbying at the capitol, creating zines, providing medical standby support at community event/protests, and hosting social events and resource fairs.
Current Actions & Resources
Queer Fight Club
Community self-defense program for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, meets twice each month.
Board Game Night
Monthly social event with games and snacks provided. The next game night is scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, on Zoom. (Register at the link above to receive the Zoom link.)
Medical Finanical Aid Zine
Do you know if you qualify for medical financial aid? This printable zine provides information about financial aid options available at hospitals in the OKC area.
