The Mission:
To foster community resilience, meet human and community needs outside of capitalism, and create networks of allies who prioritize public wellbeing over the accumulation of wealth.
What We Do
The Mutual Aid Working Group (MAWG) sends out a monthly Mutual Aid Newsletter that includes resources, fundraisers, and useful information for the OKC community and surrounding areas. MAWG also oversees the Mutual Aid Forum on the OKC DSA Discord server and hosts regular skill share events.
“Mutual aid projects let us practice meeting our own and each other’s needs, based in shared commitments to dignity, care, and justice. They let us practice coordinating our actions together with the belief that all of us matter and that we should all get to participate in the solutions to our problems. They let us realize that we know best how to address the crises we face.”

Skill Share Events
Skill Share Survey
We started a new skill share program this year and have hosted events on multiple topics, including mindfulness & meditation, neck massage, and American Sign Language. Fill out this survey to let us know if you have a skill you’d like to share, or to tell us what skills you would like to learn!
Upcoming Mindfulness and Meditation Skill Shares
Our first Mindfulness and Meditation gathering occurred in May 2025, and it has become a regular event, occurring about twice each month. Anyone is welcome to join in person or virtually to discuss the philosophy and benefits of meditation and support each other in focusing our attention and awareness inward.
