The Mission:
We are working-class Oklahomans that understand that Israel is a settler colonial project committed to occupation and genocidal nationalism – this must end. We are dedicated to the support of the Free Palestine movement and support the right to self-determination for all Palestinians. We demand complete divestment from Israel and an end to the normalization of Zionism.
What We Do
As long as the Palestinian people are subjugated and occupied by the settler-colonial project of Israel, the Palestine Solidarity Working Group (PSWG) will continue to organize in support for an end to the occupation, an end to the apartheidist Zionist regime, and the recognition of a sovereign Palestinian state. The working group has collaborated with other local organizations, such as Oklahomans Against Occupation (OAO) and Westwin Resistance, to organize protest rallies and teach-ins.
Oklahoma’s Role in Genocide:
From Fort Sill to Palestine
On January 25, 2025, in downtown Oklahoma City, the Palestine Solidarity Working Group partnered with OAO and Westwin Resistance to host a teach-in describing the connected struggle of the indigenous peoples of Palestine and Turtle Island against colonial occupation, genocide, and capitalism.
OAO shared the historical trajectory of the invasion of Palestine from the initial colonization in the 19th Century to the Nakba to the present day.
Westwin Resistance brought awareness to the ways in which Westwin Elements, a corporation that built a refining plant in Lawton, seeks to extract minerals on tribal lands without taking environmental and indigenous concerns into account.
As we learn about the shared struggle of these indigenous peoples, we all stand in solidarity with them in their call for liberation, sovereignty, and land back.
