The Mission:
To train effective organizers, educate the public through an anti-capitalist lens, and combat disinformation.
What We Do
The Political Education Committee (PoliEd) focuses on organizing discussions about socialism and anti-colonialism. This includes book clubs, presentations, organizing training sessions, film screenings, and more. These educational events are designed to provoke thought and introduce community members to new ideas and forms of expression.
Recent projects include an educational series on Oklahoma History and a screening at Oklahoma Film Exchange for the critically acclaimed Soviet film Soy Cuba, which features several vignettes of life prior to the Cuban Revolution.
Socialist “Night” School
In February 2026, we held our first Socialist “Night” School program, a 5-week course on the History of the United States post-1830, covering the Civil War, The Gilded Age, American Imperialism through World War 2, and the history of the Civil Rights movement.
