The mission of the book club is to create a community that delves into both leftist theory and explores a wide range of written works. We engage in thought-provoking discussions about essays, speeches, theory, plays, novels, short stories, poems, and more.
Labor
The mission of the labor working group is to support rank-and-file labor organizing and unionization efforts, build relationships with unions and labor organizations, and educate members, the public, and workers about worker rights, labor history, and the benefits of unions.
Mutual Aid
The mission of the Mutual Aid Working Group (MAWG) is to foster community resilience, meet human and community needs outside of capitalism, and create networks of allies who prioritize public wellbeing over the accumulation of wealth.
Palestine Solidarity
We are working-class Oklahomans that understand that Israel is a settler colonial project committed to occupation and genocidal nationalism – this must end. The Palestine Solidarity Working Group (PSWG) is dedicated to the support of the Free Palestine movement and support the right to self-determination for all Palestinians. We demand complete divestment from Israel and an end to the normalization of Zionism.
Queer Liberation
The mission of Queer Liberation Working Group (QLWG) is to foster community and provide resources for queer people in the OKC metro. The group’s work includes a broad range of projects such as Queer Fight Club, lobbying at the capitol, creating zines, and hosting social events and resource fairs.
